区别辨析lawn、meadow与pasture

lawn、meadow与pasture这些名词均含“草地”之意。

lawn : 多指公园、庭院中经常加以修剪的草坪。

meadow : 指为牲畜提供食用草，可以贮备干草的牧草地；也指野外的低草地。

There was a path through the meadow to the village.

有一条小径穿过草地通向村庄。

pasture : 通常指放牧用的草地或牧草。

The sheep were grazing on the lush green pastures.

羊群正在郁郁葱葱的牧场上吃草。
