能海上师是近代显密圆通的著名爱国高僧，为禅门临济宗第四十四世法脉、密宗格鲁派宗喀巴大师第二十八代嫡传。一生创建了成都近慈寺、五台山清凉桥等多处密宗道场，讲经弘法、注译密宗经典，为汉藏佛教文化作出了杰出贡献。
