黄炎培

骨格清从天赋，芳香幽禁人知；

谁觑东君②爱护，尽他雪压霜欺。

鸟缩僵拳不语，溪扪坚腹③无声；

如此冷清清地，一枝墙上峥嵘。

①梅庵:梅庵在南京东南大学四牌楼校区西北角，是为了纪念两江师范学堂校长李瑞清(字梅庵，号清道人)所建。

②东君:司春之神。

③坚腹:大地

【汉译】

她的骨格清高，乃是自然天赋；

她的花香清雅，然在幽僻之地却鲜有人知。

谁觊觎春神的眷顾，

雪压霜欺又耐她何？

鸟儿冻得缩成一团，无力打鸣；

溪在大地上流淌，悄无声息。

在如此清冷之地，

一枝寒梅在墙头独自绽放。

Nostalgic Musing over the Plum of Mei An

Whose skeleton is born delicately clear,

Yet whose fragrance is secluded to most people of the world.

She covets not the loving care of the God of the Sun,

Nor does she care about the bully and oppression of snow and frost.

A bird is frozen to be like a fist,twittering not,

The brook is silently flowing through the ground.

On such a lonely piece of land, 

Towers a branch of plum over the wall.
